Flipped Mirrors

How often does one get to see an image of themselves in a mirror, that is flipped - meaning, just looks exactly the same way you are!

Today was one of those days, when I had one of a brilliant conversation I had in a long time.

For varied unspoken reasons, we tread carefully on topics that can touch a few raw pulsating nerves, and these touched nerves sputter blood most often than not.

Sam and I were talking on what is our core belief in GOD? (refrain from using the word religion) as that was not what the point of discussion was.

One question - one answer - two world views - Why does she and I believe in what we believe?

Sam says: The fundamental essence is that - one needs to realize that we are part of the divine being - and its our quest to be part of the same, that takes us through the karmic cycle of life, till the ultimate union with the 'one' is done. In essence, we are part of the one! (meaning there is nothing like an individual - but parts of the "one" trying to reach back to the source)

John says: Hmm, very seldom have I heard someone speak with such precision - In fact I have a similar thought approach - the difference is - that in my belief system – the individual and the God have an identity of their own and hence a community and love originates. Therefore, heaven and hell come into context - The individuality is retained. There in originates the need for salvation of man.

We paused on a note saying - whoa - does the Truth change just because we believe in different view points? Truth is absolute!

How wonderful to speak with such freedom, expressing your view points and not thrusting your belief. In each of the sentences spoken, your core beliefs are questioned and you see yourself back in a "flipped" mirror.

How often does one get to see an image of themselves in a mirror, that is flipped - meaning, just looks exactly the same way you are!
